Ryan was inspired by his sister to play chess. He played his first rated tournament when he was 4 and a half years old. Ryan kept studying and developed passion towards the game. Ryan continued to play in local, national, and international tournaments. Chess helped him develop mental toughness and strategic planning. When he isn’t learning or playing chess, Ryan plays soccer and does math. Ryan is joining CTC to help people around the world enjoy chess. 

 Ryan’s chess achievements include:

• K-5 Chess co-Champion North New Jersey 2022, K-8 Chess Champion North New Jersey, 2019
• North American Youth Chess Championship 6th Place, U12, 2022
• New York Junior Championship 3th Place, U13, 2021
• 5th Grade National grade Chess Championship 5nd place, 2021, Champion Team, 2021
• K-1 National Scholastic Chess Championship 2nd place, 2018
• Greater New York K-1 Chess Champion, 2017
