To serve the needs of African youth chess players with tournament experience, Nico Chasin, a new member of CTC Global Outreach who recently earned his third International Master norm and therefore clinched his IM title, is calling scholastic players from the African chess communities to join his group study starting in December 2022.
The study targets the players with FIDE ratings 1200-1800 but welcomes everyone with a strong motivation to improve and compete. Students are expected to be equipped with their own personal computer and have had experience with Zoom meetings and the Lichess platform. The core curriculum Nico will be delivering centers around building tactical intuition and middlegame strategies, the most exciting aspects of the game and the strengths Nico has been well known for as a top US youth player.
CTC is grateful for Nico’s initiative and dedication to set up this program, which will benefit aspiring African young players and help them move to the next level of their chess playing. For more details about this program, please contact nico.chasin@chessctc.org or info@chessctc.org.
